This 1983 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole features a 2.9-liter 4-valve V8 making 230 horsepower. That doesn't sound like much by today's standards, but the Quattro marked a return from the neutered 2-valve fuel-injected engines Ferrari sold to meet strict emissions regulations in the U.S. 

This particular model once belonged to noted Formula One commentator Steve Matchett, himself once a Ferrari dealer and F1 mechanic.

With increased horsepower and four-valve fuel injection, the Quattrovalvole is considered the ultimate iteration of the 308 line. What started out as a carbureted model in the mid-70s evolved into a limited two-valve fuel-injected car, and finally into the four-valve model seen here. It's the one to own if you want a performance-oriented eight-cylinder Ferrari.
